Bezet Wall Street op 17 september
De Verenigde Staten bevrijden van de hebzucht van Wall Street en het land teruggeven aan de burgers in plaats van graaiende organisaties. Adbusters wil dit realiseren vanaf 17 september.
Adbusters is een campagne gestart om Wall Street te treffen en hiermee het economische hart van de Verenigde Staten. Alles uiteraard op een vreedzame manier maar wel met een duidelijke boodschap.
Occupy Wall Street
Met een grote groep demonstranten wil men Wall Street bezetten (Occupy Wall Street) en dit gedurende enkele maanden. Het lijkt mij redelijk onmogelijk maar het idee is al veelzeggend en er wordt al veel online over gesproken. Geïnspireerd door de Arabische Lente en de vele Europese pleinen die zijn omgetoverd tot campings door de vele tenten van demonstranten zien we de onvrede bij de bevolkingen toenemen.
Niet alleen Adbusters lijkt zich nu met het initiatief bezig te houden ook Anonymous laat van zich horen. De vraag is wat er van het initiatief gaat lukken en of men wil luisteren? Waarschijnlijk horen de politici en ondernemingen het wel maar luisteren ze niet. We wachten af.
Einde aan organisatorische hebzucht en corrupte politiek
De statements in het persbericht zijn hard maar duidelijk. Onderstaande het Persbericht van 13 juli 2011 vanuit AdBusters:

In Solidarity, and as a response to this call, a planning group was formed [occupywallst.org], and an info sharing site established. The participation of every person, and every organization, that has an interest in returning the US back into the hands of it's individual citizens is required. Our nation, our species and our world are in crisis. The US has an important role to play in the solution, but we can no longer afford to let corporate greed and corrupt politics set the policies if our nation. We, the people of the United States of America, considering the crisis at hand, now reassert our sovereign control of our land. Solidarity Forever!

We are Anonymous.
On September 17th, Anonymous will flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months. Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices.
