Videoconferencing, gaat het nu dan eindelijk doorbreken?
Videoconferencing had the future. This is what us was told for many years. But videoconferencing is still not a hot item. It has not given us control of time and distance and it is still not available in every boardroom of an organization. Videoconferencing is old and still it isn't integrated in our society and our way of working. But this is the time to rethink the future of videoconferencing. We live in a world where we communicate mainly through images, where we must reduce our intensive travelling because of environmental issues and where time is money. In this new world videoconferencing must get a place in the way we work and communicate and this is exactly what is happening right now. The movie of CBS News shows us how videoconferencing is gaining access to some of the biggest organizations of the world. I think organizations must more and more use videoconferencing to reduce cost and work more efficiently. But is it still the traditional management who believes that you must be at the office every day and personally.
