Shoppen buiten de landsgrenzen met hulp van de EU

With so many new products and brands and increasingly sophisticated financial services, European consumers are having a hard time getting their bearings. They are not comfortable with the idea of buying something in another country of the European Union: only one out of five people have done so over the past twelve months. And yet, the EU single market offers many possibilities for competition and for buying at a lower price.

So the European Union is actively in giving the European consumer as much information as the need. The E.U. started the Consumer Center in every country of the E.U. These centers help consumers to fight for their rights when they have a problem when bought someone outside their own country. But the E.U. also gives the consumer more information on forehand. The E.U. invests in extra education about the subject to younsters between 15 and 18 years old. And they openend the website Dolceta where everyone can read their rights in 209 languages.

We see the arise of the powerful consumer. They give, with new media, other consumers information about products and are now also helped by the E.U. Good initiative from the E.U.
