OnRequest, fotoshoot op de web 2.0 manier

Some time ago someone told me about OnRequest. And finally I found some time to tell you about it. :-) OnRequest is a Seattle company which uses Web 2.0 tools to simplify corporate marketing for their customers. The OnRequest's system has for about 1,600 photographers and other professionals which can create unique marketing campaigns. This all via the internet.

By using the web, OnRequest photo editors screen models and collect information about thousands of locations for photoshoots. During the work the photographers upload their work to OnRequest and the clients can comments on it even before it is finished. So realtime feedback and a customer who really can easily give his feedback.

"If the photographer isn't shooting with the right angle or look and feel, we can correct it remotely. (OnRequest chairman and CEO David Norris).

How OnRequest really works is explained in four steps:

  1. Customers can online specify the types of photos they want and to choose models.
  2. OnRequest engages location scouts, photographers, models, and others and arranges all the aspects of the shoot.
  3. The photographers who shoot the digital photos send them to OnRequest's system for real-time review and editing by the client.
  4. Customers use the Web interface to select photos from the shoot and share with others who need them.

OnRequest seems to be a success...just look at the clients the allready have. This when it is even more expensive then standard stock agencies. The actual OnRequest's client list is Microsoft, Starbucks, T-Mobile and Visa.

A good example of new ways using todays communication technology.
