View on the future of newspapers (1981)
Long before anyone had heard of the Internet, early home computer users could read their morning newspapers online. The clip shows the early early days of the digital newspaper.
The story of one of the first newspapers via digital media was brought by Steve Newman's in the year 1981. It was broadcasted on KRON San Francisco. In the documentary they show how the news is transferred to a computer via a telephone line. The content without pictures, adds or clips took 2 hours to reach the reader. And for five dollar an hour for downloading this digital newspaper in 1981 was an expensive one. The clip shows how much can change in about 30 years. I think that within the next 15 years or less the newspaper will be disappeared. What do you think?
