Een nieuwe selectie inspirerende cases
During my presentations I use a lot of cases. Here are some of the latest and I will try to post more cases I find during my searches in the virtual world. Barbie The youngster think and act digital is what Matel thinks. Just like me ;-). Mattel wants to involve their target groups by giving them the opportunity to play virtual with the barbie avatar. This is possible in Barbiegirls. Barbiegirls is a online community where children can dress their own barbie and chat with each other. (Wired)
Sonopia Sonopia makes it possible to have you own virtual network. The idea is that instead of having to share space on the screen with a brand name like T-Mobile, you can put your own logo of your new network on the phones which are connected. (O'reilly)
Newsatseven Newsatseven makes it possible to get you own news in which you are interested read to you by an avatar. The service is fully automatic and I think very interesting!
Buymybrokenipod With the succes of the Ipod there are also a lot of ipods broken. And this is where buymybrokenipod comes in. Here you can register your broken Ipod and see how much money you can get in return and when you send it to buymybrokenipod you will receive your money. Easy as it is. Buymybrokenipod sells the Ipod to people who love to repair them. (Businessopportunitiesandideas)
Hirethings We already know peer-to-peer banking. Buy now there is peer-to-peer lending via hirethings. It is the Ebay but then for borrowing stuff. Really cool concept from New Sealand.
Audiosnacks Make a podcast of a tour through your town and upload it to Audiosnacks. This service gives you tours for and by the public. See also this Audiosnacks demo. (Somewhatfrank)
Crowdspirit Crowdspirit brings people together with new ideas and helps them realise the ideas and innovations. So innovation from the crowd instead of research and devellopment within organizations. (businessweek)
Many of the cases idicate the changing role of the consumer. The organization of the future is not in control anymore. Two examples which make this clear are the Break-up campaign (short movie) from and a commercial of communication agency Isobar (short movie) (source: Marketingfacts).
