Chip implantaten...we are being watched right now

We wrote before (post) about the amount of information an organization has about it's consumers. With the arise of computing power and computerchips which are becoming every day smaller and smaller the day that we are 24 x 7 are monitored is not far ahead of us. I think we will get  a future where everyone is connected to and traceble via the virtual world. Connected by a chip implant. And this is closer then we think. And everything is introduced because of the safety of the individual. So governments are preparing us for the age of the implants. How do you think of this? Are becoming implants a reality or not? Also look at the PLD's (Personal Locating devices) which are already a trend for kids.
