Carcade...augmented reality in cars

Carcade is an "augmented reality in-car videogame" and is designed by students at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Augmented reality is when a computer adds something virtual to the physical real world. On Extend Limits we already gave this technology a lot of attention and this is because we believe that this will become a huge breakthrough. A breakthrough with a major impact on the way we communicate.

Via Freshcreation I found the concept of Carcade. Carcade is an "augmented reality in-car videogame" and is designed by students at the Berlin University of the Arts. To play the in car game you need a webcam which captures the landscape and software to incorporate it into the game. After that you can navigate through the real world by Augmented reality. The faster the driver drives the car the more difficult the game becomes. I think that's were safety kicks in. But in the future we do not drive our cars ourselves so that's when this concept becomes even more interesting. It is, for those in the back-seat, already a great concept. Just have a look at the clip.
